Wasserschloss, or Castle on Water, is a needlepoint tapestry done on 12-count cotton canvas using cotton floss. I used a preprinted canvas, split the threads and did petite point, a stitch that requires four times more stitches. In all, this piece has over 393,000 stitches! Because I used floss instead of yarn, I chose appropriate colors and coordinated them within the picture.
